When you post to a thread the site returns you to the top of the thread or thread page you are on. Can it be changed to return you to the post you just made/bottom of the thread?

How useful is this do you ask? How many times do you post where you do not go back and read your post - even if you previewed it? You just want to see it in the thread and know it is there safely. This mod would save you a lot of time if you spend time in the forums.

If, in your preferences, you check the box next to "reverse replies", you will have the last post in the forum in the first page you enter.
this way, if you post, you are returend to YOUR beginning of the forum which is now the end of it and your post is right at your eyes!

I know this but you don't always want to have them reversed. If you tab browse, you can have tabs open with threads you haven't read yet or open some you haven't read yet and if they are reversed you start at the bottom. If it jumps to the bottom it is more practical.

Not for those of us with the prefs set to Reverse.

If you open several threads in Tabs, you should be able to locally reverse the postings of just the threads you want -- there's a link in the upper-right.
