Going to be in Melbourne-Geelong-Lorne in a couple of weeks, for a couple of weeks. Was wondering if the Australian crowd can recommend reliable retailers where I might be able to browse for lenses, etc. Will have an address where online retailers can ship to, but would also be happy to visit a physical establishment in person.
Being in Sri Lanka, my options are very limited. I'm hoping Australian prices won't be too far off the mark of New York costs, and the selection of available products would be quite good. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Robert, don't get too excited. As a Brisbane girl currently in Seattle, I'm afraid I have to tell you that the price for such things is way higher in Australia.
Necessities are cheaper in Oz, but luxury items (including camera gear) are cheaper in the States. |

Yeah, that's what I figured. But it might be worth a shot to have a "squizz" :)
I can get THIS Beauty in Colombo, but for anything less exotic I have to go elsewhere.

hey robert beetle is right. Our camera gear is so majorly expensive. The cheapest shop we have i think is called Ted's cameras. They are a franchise and seem to be the cheapest. I have been doing a TON of research. Sorry for the non encouragement
You will enjoy aussie land, i guarantee it
