If you rubbed a lamp and a genie came out and said you were going to be sent to a desert island and could have three and only three image processing programs for photgraphic manipulation and enhancement,
what would they be,
in what order
and why? |

Without power or a great computer to run the software the choice is irrelevant.
Here are my choices anyway.....
PS - most versatile editing program available (IMO)
Neat Image (full version plugin)
Q Image (best printing/layout program available for the price) |

Bibble, Fotofusion, and JAlbum.
I can edit, layout albums and share my work. ;)

Can't live without IrfanView, other 2 would be PS and NeatImage. |

After the initial thought that I really messed up by rubbing this lamp I think I would try to negotiate for water, food, and a companion rather than image processing programs. |

I second this, in the same order. |

I heard about IrfranView for the very first time earlier this morning because someone sent me a link to download it. I tried it but didn't see what was so interesting about it ....
What is funny, is that now I find this tread about it and discover that Brad and Bob find this tool is a must.
Well I'm sure there is something I did get when I tried it and I should try it again .... |

I have been using Irfanview as my default image viewer on every PC I have owned for a good many years now and will continue to do so.
Open an image file, and if it's larger than your screen, hit enter - now image is full screen. If you have 100 images in that same folder/directory, hitting enter again will toggle to the next shot, enter to the next shot - bam, bam. Fast! Arrows on keyboard can advance next or go back. + & - on keyboard will zoom in/out, then it can be used to resize, sharpen (adjustable settings btw) and enhance basics, batch conversions, and on, & on...
I wouldn't own a PC without having Irfanview on it. |

There's more than three? I'm shocked.
:-) I've only ever used PS and Illustrator. Neither one all that much. |
