Is this the lowest score for a blue? Only eleven pics with 6 or above in the challenge. I think it was a very difficult challenge. Congrats to arngrimur. |

Yes, definitely, it was a difficult challenge. When the topic is a little bit abstract, no reference to something punctual, usually the scores are a litlle bit lower than average. Just my opinion. |

It is. The previous low was a score of 6.66 in Conflict (Challenge 189) in February 2004.

Or maybe people are voting low. Lately I feel lucky to break 5. |

Beautiful image here, however "What decision was made here? To take the photo? I just dont see it.
It was not until the 5th place image that I actually saw a decision.

The conflicting Walk and Don't Walk signs suggest a decision dilemma facing the viewer. It might have been even better with a double exposure to show both signals lit on a single sign. This was a VERY difficult conceptual challenge. I suspect that the general lack of appealing images in this challenges also helped the first and third place entries.

I saw it right away. I think the author was making a play on the pedestrian crossing signals. One says stop, the other says go. Which to believe? Fits the challenge very well. Glad to see it got top honours.

What I loved about the photo beside the clear concept of indecision was the title, spot on!
I never imagined that my Blue Beauties with a score 6.926 would win second place, but then horses are naturally beautiful and hard to resist adimiring them.
