I am Photoshop dyslexic...I can cope with the most basic stuff. But I admit I always crop without entering any ratios or whatever it is you do - is there anyway I can get 'normal' sized images for printing having done this? Thanks in anticipation;)

No, to achieve normal print sizes, you MUST pay attention to your crop ratios. Fortunately, PS makes this easy to do with the crop tool, which, when selected, allows you to enter the constrain dimensions, and the pixel density.

Thanks for that - note to self - contrain yourself:))

Thinking about it though, I cropped an image last year that ended up being only half it's original size - with weird dimensions and got it blown up to something like 36x37 ish - it was fine...so it's not the quality, it's just it doesn't fit conventional sizes?
