Back in April I started a thread about both of the teams I root for, the Washington Nationals and the Baltimore Orioles, being in first place in their respective divisions. And about how it would be a dream come true for them to meet in the World Series. At that point the season was just getting started and for them both to be in first could be called a fluke. Well, we are now about a third of the way through the season and my two teams are at the top of the standings again. Both teams have suffered unusually high numbers of injuries to key players, but have continued to play inspired baseball with fill-ins and call-ups.

The dream is still just poking it head above a distant horizon, but it is getting closer all the time.
