Yes it does, I have tried that and it works. BUT, at 300mm you will have zero dof and its way painful to focus as well. You get 4x or 5x magnification at 300mm though

At 75mm its much better, will give you lesser magnification ( but > 1x ) and is easier to focus and more dof...

according to Jacko's word in a previous thread months ago, it's the rear(on body)lens/reversed lens = magnification.

From Jacko's Dragon Eye photo...
...Sigma 105mm with a reversed 50mm 1.8 in front of it. Approximate magnification 2.5:1...
105/50 ~ 2.1 only.

//dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=119983 says something different with the same setup. I wonder if he's adjusting for cropping?

Thanks all. This thread has inspired me to find a way to mount my 50mm f/1.4 upside down on my Sony.
