I got this from a website:

Autofocus test

It's a very nice way to run your autofocus test on your new lenses, etc. And if you have a 10D i'd recommend running it.

I have done the test and found that on my 70-200mm F4 L lens it autofocused to the REAR (by about -10 to -14 from 0, which is more than an inch) @70mm, and PERFECTLY @ 200 and fine in the middle ranges. Probably means the lens is not properly cablibrated @ 70 mm.

For my 50mm lens @ F1.8, it front focused by about +2 from the chart. Setting it at F2.8 for some reason the focus is DEAD on the +0 notch, probably menas the lens wasn't calibrated properly at F1.8 but at a higher aperature.

If you're a 10D owner i'd like to know if you have done osmething like this and see what your results are. If you see all focal length rear-focused or front-focused, then it is probably a camera issue, if it's only at certain focal length and certain lens, it'sprobably a lens issue. Make sure to use the center point as the focus point to run the test.
