I have recently aquired a Nikon Coolscan 4000, and am having a bit of troube making quality scans. Most of my slides are shot on Velvia 50, appear fine, no grain, under the loupe, but when scanned the quality is jurastically reduced. I've played with the settings, most of the scans I've made have been at 4000dpi, like 3000x4000, or whatever the defult size is, with all different sampling levels. All of these files are atleast 60 megs, when tryed to get something smaller I just have no luck. Anyone have suggestions, point me somewhere thay may help? Thanks in advance.
