I took this picture just before the wedding started... she was looking down through the window at her future husband.
Question is... which do you prefer? This is kind of a 4-way question. One having to do with cropping, the other having to do with processing.
I had done two croppings yesterday, then today decided to try a different process. So I reprocessed them and tried to come up with similar (though slightly different) crops of each.
First cropping:
Before - and after -
Second cropping:
Before - and after -
The "after" shot basically has a slighly more difuse look (softens her skin even more than the first version) and adds a little glow to the skin. I also darkened the eyes and lips after having softened the skin since they went a little light on me.
So anyway, of the 4 different versions, which do you prefer?

First cropping: I like the After shot best
Second cropping: I like the before. The before shot seems to be a bit more balanced.
Out of all four, I like the second cropping, 'before' shot best. |

I think a little tighter cropping makes the face a more prominent focal point, with attention moving straight to the hand from there giving the shot a more emotional connection with the subject. Still a good original shot though! |
