Skip, I am so sorry to hear that.
I wish I had some words of comfort, but I don't.
I don't know what to say inthese cases, and to be honest, I don't think I should say anythign at all.
Just be strong enough to be the support your family needs right now, and let yourself break down, whenever you need to, but only when no one else can see.
I'm sending you my hope of the autumn skies. Hope it relaxes a bit...

thanks again to all of you for your thoughts, messages, and images. they have meant so much to me and my family this past week.
i took the following image the evening of the day my cousin was buried. it had been a hot and muggy day, with the late afternoon filled with horrific and powerful thunderstorms. then, as quickly as the storms came, they broke, and the sunlight came streaming through.
i know this is not the last chapter, but this is a fitting place to put the book down and take a rest and catch my breath.

This image, which shows turmoil and beauty, would seem to be the perfect coda to this difficult time. What a gift for you to recognize and receive. Thank you for sharing it. |

It is always so unimaginable for the ones left behind. Death has such finality for those of us still here, yet no one knows what his soul has found now that he is free of the physical body. Although the turmoil he left behind will be felt by your and your family for a long time, perhaps he is at peace now, . I hope the images you've been sent will help ease your pain and urge you to reflect on the joy and not the sorrow.
All the best, Judy |
