the Zoo is a good Idea

as a first up idea how about meet at the circular quay mid morning and take a ferry over to the zoo for lunch/afternoon shoot then back on the ferry and for those who want to carry on an evening/night shoot around the rocks/opera house area

that way we get daytime harbor/zoo... sunset bridge/opera house... nighttime old Sydney... plus all the things in between

how about Middle Harbour/Georges heights?
//www.harbourtrust.gov.au/
Everyone likes the harbour bridge, but isn't a bit boring?
lets visit areas that are currently being upgraded to allow public access. I'm sure the Trust would apprecieate a few images from DPC'ers to promote Sydney's Heritage foreshores!!

i am easy, i dont mind where we go. I dont even know where those places are you just talked about

I don't really mind going elsewhere, as long as there is coffee,
And easy access for those who might be coming on public transport. The zoo plus The Quay area would make it a pretty big day out. There is also the Bot. Gardens, Observatory Hill, Rocks Area, Argyle Church, some nice stairways around there if I remember right (I used to go to school up on the hill there). Can't think of anymore sights at the moment.

It's just north around the headland from the zoo.
MAP
Look lower-left of this map. Maybe start early morning at Georges heights and move around to the zoo when we have alot more light>?

Dawn would be lovely, but i know not everyone can do that. Dawn light+tripod=BEAUTIFUL!!!
Unless anyone wants a "dawn session" for the eager beavers, and meet at the Zoo for later??

takes me about 1 hour on train. I would much rather get the train. I am not really good with directions in sydney.

06/30/2005 06:02:05 AM · #45
I'd have to leave home about 5am to get to Middle Harbour by dawn.
That is if dawn is about 6.30-7.00.
