As some of you know I recently aquired a Rebel XT and some other cool stuff. Now I am in need of a case before June 10. I will need to carry onto an airliner and throught customs and all that garb, the following:

Rebel XT
Canon 50mm f/1.8
Sigma 12-125mm
2x Cokin P holders
Cokin circular polarizer
graduated ND filter
cables, batteries, chargers
iPod
thin CD case of DVDs
HP M360 notebook and extra hi-cap batt
small Pelican 1020 case

I could have this in two bags, but that would mean I would have at least 3 to deal with in the airport. Also finding a place for 2 bags on the plane wouldn't be fun. Right now I'm thinking of one of the Crumpler half-camera/half-'normal' bags, or one of their camera/laptop bags, or a Lowepro Rover AW II or Stealth AW II.

Any insight or suggestions would be greatly helpful

thanks!

I just picked up a Tamrac Expedition 5 photo backpack and just love it. Lots of room for all my stuff. They are well made and comfy to carry. It holds my Rebel with my 100-400mm attached,Canon 28-135mm IS,Canon 18-55mm and Sigma 28-105mm. Also charger, portable hard drive, cords, filters and lots of other stuff. This is the best camera bag I have ever had!

I have a Roots backpack, and it is very convenient. I carry it everywhere with me, but now I'm looking at a belt system that I can use in the field and is easy to access lenses, filters, etc.

I too have the tamarac Expedition 5. Carries all the gear in my profile and then some. I love how it can hold my tripod too. Very comfortable to wear. I went treking downtown detroit for a day and I didnt have to take it off once due to weight.

The Tamrac CompuTrekker would be just about perfect because it will hold all you camera stuff including tripod, as well as a weather proof spot for your computer. I pretty much can carry everything I need in it and it fits carry on dimensions. They go for about $129.00 on ebay.

I'm confused. I had a CompuTrekker backpack, but it was made by LowePro.

So, are you recommending the Computrekker by LowePro or the Tamrac backpack?
