In case anyone's interested, here's the link.

I've got the 2gig 80x and have lost some images recently. Was working fine for three months, and then...

You shouldn't have any problems using the 20-D

Disappearance of images within the camera's buffer memory
Affected Products: EOS-1Ds Mark II, EOS-1D Mark II

Either way, I like SanDisk cards. Same set up as you but with SanDisk memory and never had a problem :-)

Apparently there are incompatibility issues with 20D as well. Any case, I've been getting several "corrupt" files lately...can't bring them over from card to hard drive.

Biggest problem is that these files are often images that I've decided were good shots (a rarity for me). It's like the card can read my mind...

THANK YOU!!! This has been driving me nuts with a 2Gb Lexar card and my 350D. I sent the card in for service once, and I've still been having problems with it.

lexmark June 1, 2005 advisory

What I see at Lexar, is you have to send the cards to them, and here are the rules:

Lexar will replace your returned unit with another unit that is tested and verified to be in new or refurbished condition. You may not receive the original unit back.

Units returned will be subject to warranty limitations, including the requirement that all returns be accompanied by a valid proof of purchase.

Lexar will ship out a product with equal to or greater capacity and/or speed rating.

Lexar̢۪s sole liability, and the exclusive remedy, for any acknowledged defect(s) shall be the repair or replacement of the product in question.

If a product fails under the terms of its warranty, Lexar will inspect the product and at its option, repair or replace the product.

Customer bears the cost of sending the defective unit(s) to Lexar, and Lexar bears the cost of shipping the replacement unit to customer.

Lexar ships via either Fed Ex Ground, UPS Ground or USPS Priority Mail for all replacements. If shipping address is a P.O. Box, ONLY regular mail will be utilized.

Damages, defects or missing products must be reported within 5 business days of receipt of the replaced unit(s).

Lexar will not replace products that fall within the retailer̢۪s warranty period.

Lexar does not offer refunds, exchanges, credits or upgrades.

Lexar is not responsible for lost or damaged packages, please INSURE and obtain a tracking number as a safeguard. Lexar also recommends that you utilize a padded envelope when shipping your package to avoid damage to your product.

International customers are responsible for custom charges including, but not limited to, brokerage, taxes, duties and other fees.

Replacements are processed upon product availability.
Lexar shall NOT be liable under ANY circumstances for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages or lost data.

Lexar will make reasonable efforts to protect the confidentiality of the data stored on your product but will not be liable for any failure to do so.

It's also worth noting on that advisory that it's only certain cards, based on serial number. I haven't noticed any problems, and sure enough my 2Gb Lexar card isn't one of those listed as needing a firmware upgrade.

(mind you, at the moment the Lexar tends to live in the D70 and the 20D has an Integral i-Pro card)
