I started looking for a new Airline carry on case for my camera gear. I knew that I wanted to carry it onboard with me, so the case had to fit carryon requirements. After a few searches and some research, I had my choice down to two cases. Either the Think Tank Airport Addicted Backpack or the Pelican 1510 hard case.
I ended up buying the Pelican case thinking it will better fit my needs but now that I have it, I have to organize it.
I'm wondering if the people that use this case could post a picture of their layout for me.
Currently I have this (see picture below) layout. It allows me to carry:
2 bodies
70-200mm
24-70mm
16-35mm (not pictured, its going to shop)
400mm f5.6
fisheye
1.4x TeleConverter
2 flashes
2 Omnibounces
Spare camera batteries
memory card wallet
and maybe a few other small odds and ends
My checked suitcase would carry chargers, monopod etc. I just want to make sure the expensive stuff stayed with me.
Any other ideas on how to lay this out better?

I have a Pelican Case 1520 with Foam (grey) that I use on the back of my motorcycle for travel.
I can't show you a photo because it's packed in a one of several hundred boxes. (We're living in a rental building a house)
Your lay out looks very much like mine. |
