ok. My first attempt at taking photos of planes. I am pretty happy with the results. Would love to hear your thoughts and comments.

Nice shots...I love the Angels...got my front row pass to the Mira Mar airshow for October already.

Your next assignment, should you accept it, is to not freeze the prop on prop planes of course. Something that I haven't quite got right yet.

Something like my bud did here Zero Flyby... he tells me that you gotz to shoot around 1/200th with a stopped down app to get prop movement, plane in focus and not blow out the sky.

Way cool shots...

First, thanks for the comments. Your right about the prop. I didn't really want that to happen but like I said, it was my first tries. I can't wait till another show to see if I can improve.

Thanks again...

not bad for a first attempt, Eric! The Blue Angels shots look great - you had a nice bright day for them. I went to the Springfield Air Rendezvous at the beginning of the month. It started out great, but then got cloudy by theor show, so they did the low show. Not as exciting for spectators, but it meant they were flying closer to my lens, woo hoo! I'm going to see them again at the Southern Wisconsin Air Fest on June 11.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks... The sun actually kinda made it a bit difficult since a lot of them turned out with a great looking sky but the planes would be too dark and vice versa. I got a handfull though. I think I took about 200-230 photos...
