I used to shoot a Minolta film SLR, so have 3 nice lenses and a 3X teleconverter with Minolta mounts. I presently shoot the Dimage7. I want to upgrade to DSLR. Is the Maxuum 7D the way to go? Are you satisfied with this camera. If you had to do all over again, would you buy it? Are 6MP enough for your satisfaction? (I already heard from Bobster Lobster on this.)

Thanks so much for your time.

If I was in your position I would certainly choose the 7D.

I don't have the 7D myself but my co-worker in IT does, and he just loves it. His 7D Gallery on Pbase. If you look at his equipment shot, you will see a lot of legacy minolta glass that he has purposely sought out and purchased on ebay. He seems to be very happy with it and produces some fine results.

I have only heard good things about the 7D
I was in a similar situation a while ago, I wanted to go digital and had a set of pentax lens and although i had to pay considerably more for a Pentax DSLR than say a Nikon i am glad i did..
