Most of us are aware of the scam emails being circulated purporting to be from paypal. I received one today that looked quite authentic until I checked the message source and got confirmation from paypal that it was fake.
Please heed this warning from paypal.
"PayPal and its representatives will NEVER ask you to reveal your
password. There are NO EXCEPTIONS to this policy. If anyone claiming to
work for PayPal asks for your password under any circumstances, by email
or by phone, please refuse and immediately contact us via webform at

Opps. Misread the title. Thought it said Papal warning. You can only guess what might have run through my mind.
As an aside, I get one of the PayPal emails about once a week. Never, never, never respond! |

I've received quite a few of these phishing emails myself. I keep sending them to spoof@paypal.com so they can look into it. They are very good about responding and letting you know if it really was a spoof email, too. Another note... Paypal will never address their email to you as Dear xxxxx@ddd.com or Dear Paypal User, etc. It should always come addressed to your real name, ie Dear Mr Smith or Dear John Smith.
