I almost forgot, here's my short saga for the Apple challenge. My plan was to stick an apple on the end of one of the horns of one of these cows.
Here's a shot my brother took while I was trying to screw up the courage to do it, and a few shots from my angle while I was chasing cows around.
   
I almost did it, but the apple didn't stay on and the cow got angry and started growling at me. It sounded like growling to me, anyway. The next couple of times I tried to stick it on her horn, she whacked my arm away, and I could tell she was becoming increasingly pissed off. My children (6 & 3 yrs) were getting nervous & yelling at me to get out of there, so I aborted the mission & went looking for something else.
I tried to balance it on a donkey's head, but he just wanted to eat it.
I took a shot with some piglets, but it didn't turn out.
Finally, I gave the apple to this big pig, which may have been an OK entry, but it's too difficult to see the apple.
