| I have to vote for 20% of the entries for my votes to count? What is the purpose of that? |

To make sure people don't just email their non-DPC mates a link and ask them to vote 10s to their images...
To make sure that people view enough of a percentage of the challenge entries to get a fair feel for the calibre...
To make sure that voting is restricted to those who are committed enough to invest a certain amount of effort in doing it...
I'm sure others can add to the list?

People care more about comments than they do about scores in some cases. Comments are like gold around here.
