technically, it's composed almost entirely of flaws. there is some lens distortion, the wall and shadowbox are themselves imperfect, the composition is off, there's a lot of noise (which I added a bit of.. I like it that way) the selective desat is off, the colour is purposely off... and yet I like it. why? I guess I just have a thing for imperfection. any comments/critiques? |

I like it.. the noise works. looks ruggid with it. If you're going for the imperfect look.. bump up the saturation a little so the whites pop more.
Just took a look at your portfolio, Great images.. keep it up.

the only thing i don't like is the color of the roses- too saturated or too sharp I can't tell which. But I like the noise and the photo is a good one! :0) |

thanks for the comments - I appreciate it! they are actually very vividly coloured roses, and very full of petals.. we must have a dozen different colours growing in the garden, but these are some of the heaviest I've ever seen for their small size, with a lot of petals packed into a little space. :) the roses grow so well here, and get positively huge :) |
