| I just got the Nikon SB-80DX today in the mail. I was reading through the manuel and HOLY CRAP! The thing looks more complicated than my camera. I don't understand a thing in some of the sections in there. I've gotta figure it out because it would be a waste to just use it on Auto all the time. It looks like it can do some cool things. Is there anything super secret that I should know and learn about flash photography??? |

| The main thing I remember was that to use it "off camera" without a cord, you must set that option while it is ON the camera and THEN take the flash off. Setting it to that option while it's already off the camera doesn't work. The manual wasn't very clear about that (at least, to me). I don't use my SB-80DX very often but if you run into problems using yours, ask and I'll see whether I know or can figure it out. |
