First off: What a great show!!! Started out kind of shaky, but when they all performed with the celebrity guests, it was the best 1/2 hour on Idol, ever.
Let's just say it. Bo SHOULD HAVE WON! I'm pissed and disappointed. That's all I gotta say.
Oh! By the way...did I say I'm pissed off?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? |

I was kinda surprised by Carrie winning but I have to say that I called it yesterday based on their final performances (see other thread :-))
WTG Carrie! WTG Bo!
Clay is more sucessful than Ruben the same could happen here.
Congrats Carrie!!! I look forward to hearing 'inside your heaven' on the radio.

Yeah, Bo is the better performer of the two, he should have won. He will be like Clay with Ruben, no doubt he will be very successful. Not being bound by the American Idol record contract, he could very likely get a better deal now anyway.

| Bo should have won! I haven't come across one person that said they were voting for Carrie. Everyone I knew of was voting for Bo. Kind of strange, but oh well! As Clay proved, you don't have to win to be successful. Bo is better off. :) |

I am very happy for Carrie, she has an awesome voice and deserved it. Bo also deserved it but Im sure he will be fine. The votes had to have been close!

This is the first season that I didn't care for one more than the other. I love them both. Each are very good and unique in their own way. Neither one will have anything to worry about.
Boy, they slammed Cory Clark a bit, didn't they? Hilarious!
Edit: grammar

I would have been happy with either. I think Carrie had a slightly stronger night yesterday than Bo did. I'll be shocked if he doesn't get a deal as well. I figure to have both their CDs by end of summer. :)
This was an incredible season. I'm willing to bet the votes were really, really close.
The Corey Clark spoof skit was probably my favorite part of the night.

At least this way Bo doesnt have to sing that 'winning' song. I would have preferred Bo to win but as have been said, I think both of them are winners and will walk away with recording contracts, as will some of the other top 12.

I personally think both of them are great performers. Bo has better stage presence because of his experience in a band and Carrie didn't have that advantage. I think, just my opinion, these few things crowned Carrie American Idol 2005:
1. Last night performances
· First performance Carrie won
· Second performance Bo won
· Third performance Carrie won
· Wild Card – Carries first and Bo’s last performance was the same song, the title song. Bo’s rendition was better.
· Bo looked out of place last night and the Title song did not fit his style while Carrie looked smooth after the first ¼ of her first song and the Title song fit here style.
Lets review #1: I give to Carrie by the score of 3 / 2
2. Voters:
· Female voters will come out in force for Bo along with his fan base and fellow rockers.
· Male voters are more likely not to vote as female voters giving Carrie a disadvantage. But with last nights performance she will pick up a few more votes out side her fan base, possibly voters that was voting for other contestants before there elimination.
Lets: review #2: I give this to Bo 1 / 0
3. Artistic Venue:
· Bo is a very good rocker with great vocals but Carrie also has great vocals and what gives here the win here is her ability to be a transitional artist [like Shania Twain]. No comparing here to ST. But Carrie has the ability to sing Pop and Country appealing to more people.
Lets review #3: I give this to Carrie 1 / 0
The above is what made me feel Carrie was going to win. My scoring had here ahead 4 to 3.
But with that said, they both are winners and Bo will have a great career. Congratulations to both of them.

| Both will have careers and I'm happy for both of them. But I will have to say, I'm so happy for Carrie. She was my pick when the top 12 was chosen and I'm just glad I got it right (just for my own ego). But Bo is a really good singer and performer too, so I hope both will be fine. |

The one that isn't expected to have the better career wins to boost them up because they figure that the 2nd place one will do well anyways. At least that's what I was thinking when Reuben won.

sigh... I thought Bo was better all around than Carrie... I always thought she looked "plastic" when she performed... Bo had total stage presence and superior vocals... I'll buy Bo's cd, but not Carrie's... oh well!
