With absolutely no foreknowledge, I completed this picture yesterday (it is two macros put together) and titled it ... "Decisions." I was stunned when I saw the upcoming theme when I came to DPC today.

I won't use it, of course, but I thought it odd.

Cool image! For my own curisity - I'd love to see a closer shot of the spider, because it almost looks like it's glowing, and I'd also love to hear how you got the shot of the fly in flight...

Wow! That's beautiful. It really is a pity you couldn't enter it to the challenge.

Here's a C/U of the spider. It was his irridescent colorings that attracted me to shoot him.//i6.photobucket.com/albums/y249/RonBeam/SpiderCU.jpg

The fly is a Bluebottle Fly (nasty critters!) Some mornings I have seen one or two hovering in the sunlight over my front porch, which faces east. I suppose they are warming to become active for the day, following the cool nights. They hover for a few minutes and then are gone. I just followed this one around as it hovered and took as many shots as I could (they are wary and dart to another location if approached.) This was the sharpest. I love the aerodynamically tucked up legs.
