the photographer do that black and white with the red licorice without spot editing?? Inquiring mind need to know! |

He desaturated all colors except for red. It's allowed under the rules.

Image, saturation, and slide the sliders back for any colors you don't want :)

in ps6 you go to image>adjust>hue/saturation...then you can select individual colors from a drop down bar and desaturate each as you choose |

It takes some pre-Photoshop work, too, as human skin has a lot of red. I had to use a yellow light that was very bright, so the reds would not be so prevalent on the skin. Luckily, it made the licorice seem like cartoon red, so I took the red saturation down by at least 30 percent, too. With spot editing, it would have been easier! |
