I was taking pix outside of the kids, and I got this one of my daughter, Amanda. Looking for some feedback. My last challenge got a HORRIBLE score, so I'm looking to bounce back (licking my wounds). Anyway, any comments welcome. Thanks! :)

Tone and composition are good. The one thing that jumps out is that it appears to be a little oversharpened. This may be just a result of your processing for the web.
Overall nice shot, but wouldn't necessarily 'speak' to the voters during a challenge.

I will say I'm not the biggest fan or B&W, I see in color, so I will omit myself from commenting. But don't worry about your last challenge, worry about the next. You hit a rough spot, learn move on. By the way, your daughter take a good photo and you did a good job getting it.

For me, I like this much better. I never vote a photo down because it is in B&W. The lighting on her face her very nice and the ponytail hanging down add a nice whimsical touch.

I think it is a good photo and prefer the b/w to the color because the colors aren't important in the image. You have a very slight darker side to one half of the face and it appears that maybe she was upside down a little too long or something cause her face seems puffy in a bad way...I don't mean it as an insult to her just I think fluid built up. Otherwise it is a really nice and fun photo.
On a side note...Don't let your last challenge get you down, man if I did that I never would have made it past my first. this last one is confusing me, after ranking where I expected it has suddenly fell over that last two days, glad its done tonight lol. |

She actually wasn't upside down for too long ... :) Anyway, I prefer the b/w myself. Thanks for all the comments, guys! :) |

I prefer black and white. Or this.
:)
Where do you see too much sharpness, crabappl3?

I prefer the B&W as well, in colour she looks like she's been hanging there a while and is just starting to go red in the face. :-).

LOL ... I had actually considered doing that. My eyes are drawn to her face, and I did that when I first started processing it to see what it looked like. |

I left you a comment. :-)
When I first saw the shot, I couldn't help not to think about the branch breaking off and my heart skipped a beat. Ouch! |
