I'd rather be shooting skateboarding but good rollerbladers need camera love too.
I know a some people here like to shoot close ups of action sports, but in the industry, you need to show where the skater is coming from and going so the viewers (usually skaters) can relate to the trick/ setup.
Also my lighting lacks a little bit because I was limited to one off camera flash tripod mounted on about a 3' sync cord. I have new flashes and slaves coming soon.
That said
Lemme know what u think. Any critique I'd like to hear, even if it mentions one of the things I mentioned above.

| The trees behind the skaters are a huge distraction, makes it hard to see the action. The large field of view works if you need to set a scene, but again distracts from action. The wide angle lens would work a whole lot better, if you are brave enough to get in "real close" with it. |

Very cool - I agree that the fisheye works well in showing where the skater has come from and where he's going. Works best when you're closer rather than further to the subject, of course :)
