well... I just took and submitted mine. HOLY last minute batman....

I HATE it but I wanted to enter something. I don't expect much in this challenge. It was fun to do anyways...

You never know how the voters will receive it. Sometimes the ones you don't expect much from are the biggest surprises. Good Luck.

Mine will bomb. People don't consider "overcast" lighting as a lighting source. Overcast outdoors is the lighting I love. I didn't like this challenge, but wanted to enter something.

On my first update I had 2 views and a blank average score - I don't know whether that bodes well or very badly...

By my clock it was 11:59 when I uploaded.

Got home from taking my kids to the new star wars movie. Sat down at 11:30 when an idea for an entry hit me. Scrambled to get setup and had the shot done by 11:45. Sat down at the computer at 11:50. Finished with photoshop at 11:57 (very little "Advanced Editing"). Made it under the wire.

I have a feeling the rush-job will show.

at least I will consider your pix and your overcast light. I consider all sources of light with value, the question for me is.....does it tell a story?

It's a study in tone and texture. I like it. That's all that matters anyway. ;)

"Lighting is arguably the most important element in photography. Without light, you can't capture an image. Use lighting in a creative fashion this week so that the lighting itself is a key factor in your composition."

The details are pretty general. It would be hard to say any decent shot did not meet the challenge.

Yes. Exactly. That's why it's a weird challenge goal. ;) More like a Free Study, in my opinion.

Yeah well, I think the challenge creators had a sense of humor when they came up with this "lighting" challenge... Hmm, so how do we capture light?, oh yes, we use a camera. :)

it's kind of funny that a shot I took in like 2 minutes at 11:30 last night and don't really like is so far, scoring better than anything I have submitted....

hmmmm.....

I am at 5.8350
