My apple is scoring relatively badly. Wondered how any of my "safer" shots might have done. And whether one of them might have been a good fruity "outside looking in" photo!

As always, any comments would be much appreciated. Especially the critical ones!

Thanks

I was going to enter but I pulled my shot at the last minute. I wish I had left it in just to see how this would have placed

I would have given it a 9, and you would have gotten absolutely hammered by everyone else for hitting the "bombs in schools" sore nerve. :)

I gave you score breakdowns for each one, for what they're worth. I've noticed that how I vote has very little bearing whatsoever on how a shot actually does. I'm going to adopt a completely different style for the next contest and abandon shots that I actually like, and see if I do better, myself.

i couldnt post these before because i feel they would have let everyone know what my entry was so i decided to post them now. my entry finished 87th place with a avg. vote of 5.99 which im so happy with. my goal was to finish with a 5.1(beating my previous high of 5.055) Im just bursting at the seams with pride for finishing in the top 100 and with 2 favorites to boot!:o) Cher

Outtake:

Thought on the outtake that everything was shifted down a bit too far. Funny that many comments mention the hand being red (sshhh...don't tell my wife) - it WAS a bit red as she had just been doing some outside chores. ;^)

No, you just didn't wait long enough.

I actually like the second one more than the first. It's more entertaining. You needed a faster shutter speed, though, as the motion blur on the lips is a little distracting. I suspect for that reason it would have done worse than the one you entered.

Zed - Patience IS a virtue so they say... ;^) I thought it was more entertaining also, iffa, coulda, shoulda...

Cheryl (smilebig4me1x) - I think you made the right choice after looking at your outtakes.

There, now I've killed this one for sure! ;^)
