how is the lighting? does the border distract? cropping? |

Hello from a fellow Ohioan!
The picture is an interesting idea, but to me it seems a bit cluttered. I find myself not focusing on one object and my eyes wander around the composition. Also prominent is the out of focus area in the bottom right, it seems a bit heavy.
I find the wood and nails probably the most intesting part of the photograph, however only a section of them on the extreme right is in focus. The flowers I assume are intended to be the main subject of the photo, try bringing them a bit to the right so they line up with the left third.
A bit of the white spots on the wood and flowers are blown out, but the main thing that bothers me is the cluttered composition, including the leaves in the background and foreground. I don't mind the sepia tone, it seems a bit yellowish though. You might try using color to direct focus more towards the flowers. I don't much fancy the border, but that's just a personal preference.

What is the main focal element here?
The wood is very large and dominating in the scene but is not that interesting on its own. If it's the flowers, well, they are stuffed away at the bottom and a bit cut off from the cropping. On the right side the flowers are hid by that leaf. The contrast and light is acceptable but the color tone is a bit blah.
I think the main improvement can be found in composition. Show more clearly what you have to say. Make the main element dominate.
