I read this in Skiprow's thread and didn't want to crash it (this time), so thought I'd post it here:

I think there you're confusing chafed with chuffed, which, in a broad Lancashire accent or a regular non-Lancashire accent, doesn't sound the same.
p.s. How do you make powder from babies?
