Great looking bike, looks like it was well taken care of. Nice photos too.

Good luck.

hey i'm actually in the market for a 600 CC bike. how much are you looking to get for it?
also what kind of equipment are you using for those pictures? they look great. the last pictures i took of my old bike came out looking nothing like that.

Thanks. The first two were with my 75-300 and the rest were just today with my 18-55.

If you want to bid, go for it -- heck, just throw up a bid to get things started...anyone, just don't go above 3k if you're not truly interested, please.

Looks like it's going smoothly. A small bump in case anyone's interested and missed it.

SC: Thanks for being considerate and allowing me this small bit of 'advertising' during my selling process.

the CBR looks nice, but there are only 2 bikes I want..

the Ducati 999R
//homepage.mac.com/dansignet/.Pictures/myndavefur/ducati.jpg

and the Dodge Tomahawk

500bhp might be pushing it but 300+ mph is something I have always wanted to try on 2 wheels :)

You sure? I still prefer the 916-996 design and handling. Both are way beyond what I want to pay for a bike without winning the lottery.
In my opinion every Ducati design after Massimo Tamburini (Monster series, 916 design) left pretty much sucks design-wise. Tamburini followed Castiglioni to Cagiva to build the Raptors and then Tamburini designed the MV Agusta F4.
If there is any bike I'd really really really want at the moment, not just for the looks, but also for the riding potential and emotion:
MV Agusta F4 Ago (only 500 build) or the F4 Tamburini. I think that the MV F4 would have been the 916 succesor if Tamburini hadn't left. Once you heard an original factory racing MV Agusta, with Ago on it, you're a lifetime fan of MV.

Other bikes I like are the Bimota DB4, the Buell XBR12 Firebolt and like I already said the Ducati 996.

Meanwhile I scratch the pegs of a 600cc Yamaha FZS and R6 (the R6 is not mine, just keeping it warm for someone).

May I ask why you are selling it? I am to far away, like on the other side of the Atlantic, to even consider bidding, but you seem to like showing it some corners. You ain't quitting riding bikes, are you?

Yeah, I'm done riding. I figure I've beaten fate for this long, I'm done pushing it. Let's face it -- bikes are made to go fast, and that's what I do on it...really fast...too fast. I actually have a perfect driving record and I'm not going to risk getting a ticket for something that brings me so little joy any longer.........or worse.

I've seen my good friends go down -- both infront of my face, and in the emergency room after, and, to be honest, it scares me. I've seen people in cars run right into MACK trucks and big yellow school buses...if they can't see them, then they can't see me on my bike.

It's been fun for the three seasons that I rode a lot...and its had its ups and downs. But now, every time I get on it, I just feel like I'm pushing my luck -- whether I'm doing something stupid or not. It's a dangerous, dangerous world out there -- my girlfriend is starting to follow in my footsteps (I got her an 04 ninja 250 last year) and she didn't really catch on and I don't want her to. So I'm counting my losses, and selling both bikes...which will give me more money for photography ;-)

The bike is really in great shape by the way. Well-maintained, and not beat on -- never stunted. Of course, I rode it fast, but that's what they were made to do.

I see, when you get that feeling (pushing luck) it is indeed the right time to go in another direction. Be it quitting or stepping over to another challenge like single cylinder 600cc supermotards. The latter is what I am thinking about.
More money for photography is alway welcome. 1D II here you come? :)
