The black and white gives a better impression of the shapes and the body position and puts much less emphasis on the floor. For some reason, the color image draws my eyes to the floor of the stage. I like the black and white version best. Sepia toning might look interesting with this image as well.

I like them both

I like them both, but if I had to choose one I'd go with the color. I like the skin tones and the lighting on her face in this version. Both are nice, but the color strikes me more.

b&w

No brainer... B&W. The color adds little to the composition. Redo the B&W to make the tones perfect and you will have a winner on your hands.

Jeremy... your bio says:
"Future famous portraiture/free lance photographer, capturing hearts one at a time."

Based on the following evidence from your potfolio, are you sure you meant "hearts" or something else?

It look classic in B&W! Nice work!

I think definitely the b/w. Maybe try a duo/tri/quad tone. Nice capture.

I would say black and white but why not try to desaturate the colors less not black not color... It might give a nice mood to it!
Can i have a try? i am just imaging in my head so i don't really know if it works... But if you'll let me give it a try i will be glad to do it.
By the way very nice picture...

B&W looks Great!!!!!!!!!! (It might just be me, the bottom of the stage is a little distracting, I’d like to see a comparison with it cropped outâ€Â¦.imo)â€Â¦Ã¢€Â¦Ã¢€Â¦Ã¢€Â¦Ã¢€Â¦..ace

I say go B&W...

i actually prefer the colors, but agree that de-saturating would be better than B&W

It is a tough call as they are both very nice, but personally I prefer the black and white.

I'm odd man out.

I like the skin tones of the color. I especially like it with the floor desaturated and the tiny bright spec on the floor removed.

You wont hear me say this very often; I like the B&W better :O

Here's my take on it; progressive desat like Discraft, similar crop as well, a little glow worked in as well.
