After all the wit just experienced with apples, for this next open challenge I expect to see:

An extremely old lady slicing the ocean on a surfboard.

A very old thyroid

A shot of the Grand Canyon with a little piece of paper on the foregound ledge that has written on it, "ULAR."

An assorted amount of sand, sugar or salt poured into various vessels of water.

i am actually quite excited about my entry for granular....i also enjoy the witty entries that i have seen in apple...its great to see people out there having fun and blowing off some steam from the real things that effect them on a daily basis....dpc is like a marriage...for better or worse...

I'm not so sure you can predict entries. Most of what you listed might turn out pretty good. Will have to wait and see what folks come up with.
Personally I've made a mess with my 'granular ideas. I've had the vacuum out twice today and still don't have a keeper. ;O) Hummm, granular on the floor?!

There you go ... an action shot of grains sucked up into the mouth of a vacuum cleaner. hmmmm... backlit...

Hint: Sand through a paper shredder does not work.
Reverse the flow of your shop vac and you will be cleaning for a month.
I wonder how many micro fiber lens cleaners will sell this week because of this challenge? And next week, new cameras...

How about this week? I fear mine has developed symptoms I am not happy with at all.

UPDATE: Just ordered a new camera - Canon this time around. I used to use Canon, always liked them have wanted to go back to SLR style and with this I will. I like the Sony for what it is. But the Canon is what I want. Should have it Monday. NOTE: Since this post I have been informed that it will not be Monday after all. More like first week in June.

Well....

I finally finished composing my entry...

(took the entire "Meet the Faukers" movie to complete)

I'm happy with it - though I wish I could manage a bit more with it. I know there are a few things not quite as perfect as I like. But we'll see how it does. I would love to finally break 6.0!

This was also my most EXPENSIVE entry to date. Had to spend approx. $5-$6. But hey, I need salt anyways!
