| Well everybody now that things have slowed down around here I should be able to start participating in challenges and critiques again. I also will be leaving Italy the first week of May for good. My time in the active duty Army is winding down and I will once again be a civilian. Well almost, I have joined the Army Reserves and will do it part time now. I was accepted into University but not the Photography and Film department I had hoped for. That's my bad news. I also have a brand new Canon 10D sitting at my parents house waiting for me. Anyways, I'm glad to be back at DPC. Thanks again everyone for your support. |

IT sounds like you've got some major changes in your life soon. I wish you lots of luck for a smooth transition and safe travel.
I spent 12 years in the Navy on submarines. I spent lots of time at Palau (on Sardinia), as well as time in Rome and Naples. Italy is a great place. I hope you had some time to get some great photos. The architecture is amazing!
My brother is also in the Army. He was injured badly in Iraq in early April. He is now recovering in Germany. He is going to be OK, with just some minor issues in the future (shoulder surgery, nerve damage in his leg). I don't think he will have any life altering disabilities as a result of his injuries, although he nearly died at the time.
Thank you for your service to our country. Be proud of what you've done and welcome home!

Thank you for your service, and I really mean that. I'm convinced that your sacrifice makes it possible for the rest of us to enjoy the everyday freedoms that we take so much for granted.

| Hey JD hope your brother gets well soon. Italy is very nice, I'm going to miss it for sure. It's nice to be back here at DPC still trying to figure what I want to submit for this weeks challenges. |
