| I got my Canon EOS 20D recently (a couple of months ago) and I have to say that I am very happy with it. However, I think that I may have a problem with some dust on the sensor, as I see some strange spots on my pictures when I load them into Photoshop. Which brings me to this question...how do you deal with dust on the sensor...do you go through sensor cleaning routine yourselves or you have it done for you by experts ? I am afraid to touch anything inside the camera. Am I paranoid or is it indeed easy to damage the sensor ? |

| I kept borrowing my buddies Rocket Blaster until I found a $5.99 version of it at Ritz. Works quite well for me and I have not had to do anything else (thus far). |

Has anyone tried using a lenspen brush as a cheap alternative to the "sensor brush" method? I just tried the filter test with it, and it seems to work. It would seem that they would make the lenspen brush pretty darn soft for going across a lens or filter--should be good for a sensor, if it's nylon.
Anyone tried it? What do you think? Or does someone know of a source to buy an online "cosmetic mask" brush per the pixel sweeper article? |

If you are going to use a lenspen brush make sure it is clean. The one I have doesn't have a cover, just retracts, so it can pick up dust and other stuff.

Here's a link to some brushes selling on ebay; sensor cleaning brushes on ebay
I haven't tried these, just saw them in an earlier thread here. But the price is certainly more reasonable.
