I though this pic would be at least in the top 10 :
I love the composition and the feeling of vertigo you get from it...

That's a very nice shot; I thought that would finish higher as well.
Here's another I really liked that finished much lower even:

I agree with you here ... you, graphicfunk and I were the only one who commented on this. I like the 'complimentary' colors. |

Both are good examples of underrated. There always have been and will always be underrated photos here. Just a sad fact. The voters choice, sometimes we agree and sometimes we don't.
I think it's worth saying that there are some really fantastic shots on this site. |

There's also a fine "tradition" (which I hadn't seen lately and am guilty of not starting one myself) of starting an "underrated" thread to give some extra attention to some of the gems buried in the pack. |

Neil and Ken:
Thank you. I was pleased with my photo. My hope was that it would appeal to a larger audience. There were some things that I would like to have changed but with the editing restrictions I left it completely alone.
Oh well, this was my first entry here and I will enter more (many more). Hopefully, my skills will continually improve up to the level that you two display.

This was a very good first effort. Keep on trucking, you will be fine. besides you beat me on my first challenge entry wherein I uploaded the small file by mistake and sat like an idiot that night awaiting for my image and then suddenly I saw it so small. Oh, well at least you did the right thing and scored much better than I did. |
