I thought the challenge was 'Triangles' so I darkened the subject to show that off, as the Monach itself was not really the subject It was taken moments after it had hatched in bright sunshine that is why it is so bright
I can assure you it's not dead as suggested in some comments you can see it again in my profile if you wish
I dont think this image should be scored so low as 1's and 2's

Hey, you didn't get but a tiny handful of 1's and 2's... Just about every image gets them. Gawd knows some of my best have had them. I think your relatively low score is due to the very artificial-looking high contrast and extreme saturation here. It's a nice shot, but it feels overworked to me...

I agree - over-processed. 63 percentile is not shabby. I didn't see where anyone commented that it was dead... Be happy! :)

| Bear is right, you cant get away from the 1 &2merchants, I thought it was an excellent shot,maybe the dark background doesn't help? |
