So, as a few of you know, I live real close to Sing Sing prison and I was thinking about getting a picture there for this challenge... and uh, well... the cops chased me out... I tried! :(
I now apologize for the entry I am about to submit!

| haha.....I can relate! Last night the full moon was in the perfect position over a local landmark (large, corporation which I would rather not name). I had this great vision -- I put the wide angle lens on my camera, and grabbed my tripod. To get the shot I was after I needed to position myself in the employee parking lot. As I was setting up and getting practice photos to check the lighting, the security guard came out to see what was up. I was very professional, but he didn't really want to hear anything from me. He said that he had the power to immediately call the cops and have the book thrown at me, etc etc. It was all pretty funny really.....as all I needed to do was go back to the public sidewalk to take the photo and there wasn't much he could do if I stayed off of the corporate property. I didn't bother though, as he really left me not feeling too creative, after his threats of jail, etc..... |

If only we had more police concerned with keeping people out of prison. Really, sorry, it would have been good -- I wanted to use a jail cell last week!
Maybe you can contact the warden in advance and arrange some sort of "on-call permission" for the next challenge where it would be a good subject...

Depending on the next few challenges, I will see about getting in there for a picture... should prove to be interesting.

Well, conditions really sucked for me as well...wouldn't you know, the ONLY week out of the entire year we get rain, and it HAS to be this week. Oh well. I think I got an ok one during downpours. LOL. I hope we get to see some hurricane photos! Also, we got the first snow of the year somewhere, and I hope someone got that too!
