Is it worth it to get a high speed SD card for my Canon SD400?
I was looking at a 66x speed. Doe sit take any extra battery power with a high speed card? Are there any downsides to a fast card?

I don't think it takes any extra battery power but you may be paying extra for more speed than your camera can use.

I found that 66x for $70 in a 1gb not to bad a price. |

I just picked up a 4gig Hitachi microdrive. Was fairly impressed. I can still take about 20 shots with my 20D in Large Fine JPEG (I presume that's all in the buffer) but that's really enough for my needs.
And being able to take 900 LF-JPEGs or 250 RAW+LF-JPEG is pretty impressive! |
