I thought of this while reading a recent thread about starting out in portraiture work, but didn't want to hiijack the thread ;)

Is there a way to run a query on the user's database to determine if there are others in your general area -- kinda like there is for lenses and cameras?

This might help if local contact is needed for group gettogethers, help in a remote area, etc.

Is this possible?

This doesn't work to well. I type in GA and the first profile is hbunch7187. She's in Michigan. I type in Georgia and don't get jenesis and her profile is listed as Atlanta, GA. I am listed as Rydal, GA and I think you would have to type every city to get accurate results. There needs to be a better way.

As long as it's a text box that people enter their own information in it will never work too well.

Maybe a good thing to fix. Make a standard. City,State/Country. It would probably be hard to make a standard for the fact of different countries. Any thoughts?
