From last night in Philly! Pretty much snapshots - but pretty decent considering the limitations of my camera and conditions.

Funny - the guy behind us bought his ticket 4 hours before the show - amazing seats! And he snuck his 20D in - I think it was a message for me, as I am currently waiting for B&H to say they shipped mine.

Those are very good shots for a non-DSLR shooting from where the paying customers have to sit. They are a little grainy, or noisy, which tells me you are going to love the way your 20D shoots at the higher ISO settings. Awesome band U2.

snuck in a 20D? thats brave and risky.. they could take it away from you, and you probably wouldnt see it again.

That's what I have heard happens around here - that you are risking it being gone forever. Too high of stakes for me!!

actually, that is not true. they can kick you off the premises, but nobody has the right to confiscate and keep anyone else's property without due process of law.

Well, if they caught it before he got in - he'd go back to his car.
That was my plan. I'd say have a small memory card and give them that. They used to do that with film when not allowed - take your film. I had a 16mb (came with my camera) ready at entry.

They wanded me for metal but never even tried to open my purse - guy didn't even look at it. Worked out awesome!

Thank you - not all came out so well. My Epson is very limited - only 400 ISO max. Grainy a bit, yes. I was just happy to get some photos that weren't blurry. Can't wait for the 20D, high ISO and low noise.

To me (& Kylie, right?) - they are awesome...but so much more than just a band.

Yay - I am still hoping they come to your area. I ended up bawling like a baby when they closed with "40". I held it together most of the night - until that song. It brought back memories of my very first time seeing them a little over 20 years ago. I cried because the show was ending - because that show went by in like seconds even though they played for 2 hours and because of the memories I have connected to them (lost friends, lost youth).

Here are a couple more for you:

I know exactly what you mean - I think I would cry at 40 myself. My little girl was raised on U2. These are terrific shots - you must have had some awesome seats.

I'm sorry, I was a hardcore U2 fan, but haven't been able to truly appreciate them since Zooropa... (though I did like Numb and still have the drummers goatee...) Just seems like they sold out and all they do now is commercial crap. Gimme back the days of them doing Gloria on a barge... Gimme back Sunday Bloody Sunday... Gimme back Under a Blood Red Sky...

That is what I thought, but then I really listened again. Try it. Be open to it. They have done anything BUT sell out. Listen to the last two. I thought I had left them behind at one point, but now I see.
