A major Solar flare that ocurred on May 13th will cause higher than normal Aurora activity in northern latitudes on May 14th and 15th. Could be some photographic opportunities!

thanks for the heads up! Now if the skies would just clear up around here I may get a great opportunity living here in the upper peninsula of Michigan. Tonight the odds of that happening are not too good - we're expecting an inch of snow. Tomorrow night it is supposed to start clearing up.
I was able to capture some good shots from my back yard last fall. I'll have to add them to my portfolio tomorrow after I get off work.

Here in SE Wisconsin too, just a peek of sun a little earlier. No promise of clearing :-(
