Personally I loved this shot and gave it a 9. The colors were brilliant and I really loved the idea of taking the shot from the puddle. Simply brilliant!
There are many people who enjoy your shots, so don't give up on us!! |

I'm a big fan of night time photos. The first time i saw yours i wasn't quite sure what was going on. After i looked at it a couple more times I realized it was a reflection on a sign in a puddle. I think this is an excellent concept, i myself have used this technique before. the only thing i found wrong with your picture is that it was hard to tell right off the bat that it was a reflection. I belive you may have been able to accomplish your desired effect better by zooming out a tad bit more. You may want to mess around with the camera angle too. other wise i thought this was a good shot with a creative technique, it was just a bit too hard to see a first glance that the image was a reflection. I think some viewers out of confusion or something may have just passed over your image having not understood it.
anyway, keep on experimenting and good luck.

I thik you comment about the tight crop is on the button, I think a shot showing the extent of the puddle maybe would have done better, The other shot I liked but thought it would be in the " Sameness" group of shots. we live we learn.Originally posted by Hardcore Poser: I'm a big fan of night time photos. I gave it an 8. Too much punch in the whiter areas, and focus. So 8. |
