Thanks to all who voted and commented, this was my best score yet at 6.296.

Probably two thirds of the comments I got were something along the lines of 'Great choice for B&W', and the other third were more like 'Not sure B&W was the right choice here'. I've had a request from one commenter to see the colour version, so here it is. I really think the B&W is much nicer.

I thought this was one of the best in the challenge I gave it a 10 and after seeing the color version I think you made a very wise choice to stick with b/w.

I think they're both great, but I like the color one just a bit better. Great work!! :)

I didn't vote in the challenge, but that BW is excellent. I'd have given it at least a 9 -- it's really pleasing to look at.

I like the b&w better... helps bring out the lines in the photo, which makes it very interesting.

edit: hmmm... let me reword that. The photos is interesting, the b&w bring out the lines which really adds to it. =)

I was one of the 'Not sure B&W was the right choice here' commenters but after having seen the color version I must say I like the b&w one better.
The sodium vapour lighting just washes the colors out anyway I think.

My thoughts exactly. The one saving grace of that, is that it provides a good contrast with the church. It might be a good candidate for a selective desat to get the red of the tail lights, but I'm not really very good at that.
