I assume you are talking about Beach Camera.com I never bought from them but check this out.

I've bought from them a couple times. Great service. No problems whatsoever.
My purchases were from New Jersey.

Bought a 580 EX Speedlite flash for about $80 less than avg. street price. Arrived like 2-3 days later. WoW talk about speedy service. B&H beat them on delivery time. Ordered 70-200mm and about 1/2 dozen Tamrac accessories on Monday. By Wednesday I had them in hand.
:)
Both have been very good in service and delivery time. But I have heard there are two Beach Cameras. The NJ / website one, and a NYC one which is not so reputable. *shrug* |

I had a very bad experience trying to buy a camera from BeachCamera.com, and would advise all to avoid them at all costs.
But I had a very good experience buying a camera from the Beach Camera store in northern New Jersey, and would reccomend them enthusiastically.
I don't believe the two are related by more than a name.

I also bought a 580EX from them. Ordered it on Friday, it was delivered the next Tuesday. I didn't get it until Thursday though because they shipped by FedEx. Because it's sensitive electronic equipment, Beach requires that FedEx gets a signature for the package. So make sure someone is home the day it's expected to arrive.
Good prices, and I didn't have any problems. I would buy from them again. |
