it was my first submission here...
I didn't mean for it to be so small... I uploaded what I thought was the right version and then never checked it. What a WASTE.
Oh well, live and learn.
My triangle one is bigger but so far not scoring great. I think it's good, it's definately not the best but I think it deserves higher than its scoring.

Your image is really very nice and the colors are good to start with. Shooting from ground level perspective and moving slightly left to fully expose the three background flags would have made a very nice image that could have score far, far higher.
The reason it scored so low is because of your image size. ALWAYS make one dimension as close to 640 pixels as you can.
Most DPC voters are excessively harsh and will vote images low for almost any reason. The game is to provide them with as few reasons as possible. :)
Good luck in future challenges. You will get a lot of lumps along the way, many unjustified, but you will be a better photographer for it in the end.

Annee,
why don't you post the good size photo in your portfolio and post a link in this thread (or an individual photo discussion thread) and ask for the opinions. You won't get your score improved, but you may get a comment or two on the actual image and not on its size, which may be helpful for future endeavors here at DPC.

I will post the larger sized fountain image tonight when I get home...
it'll be interesting to see what people think of the image... most of the comments I recieved were about the size. |
