with so many great photographers out ther i need some advice. i want to set up a web site where the customer can have my prints shiped directly from the printing company where i have set the prices.
does anyone have experience with this. Shutterfly does it but im not sure of there quality, I curantly use mpix and i love them but they do not offer the service that i require. can anyone offer me some advice. Thanks, Kevin |

Well, you can do it here (through DPC Prints) but currently all the prints have to be approved for sale to the public, so it doesn't work so well for photos intended for a particular customer, e.g. weddings, sports teams. Those features are "on the list" but there's no real timetable for implementation.

Have you looked at Smugmug? I currently use them and though I have not seen the prints yet, I have heard from clients that they are great. I think the name is a little cheesy, but the price was very affordable.
I have bought prints from Pictage, but their program was just too pricey for me at this point. They seem to be geared towards high-end weddings, but the rep says that it's not just for weddings. I bought photos of friend's new baby there, and they are wonderful. If I was doing high-dollar weddings, I'd definitely use them with no qualms. |
