I was trying to add some intrest to this photo:

and I came up with this:

What do you think?

edit: after looking a the thumbnails, you will have to open them to see the difference

i had to pull them both up side by side to even see what you did :) i wouldn't say it made a huge difference, there still doesn't seem to be a subject to look at ... my eyes just float all over the place with nothing to look at.

Yeah I was kinda going for the "in the middle of the woods thing"
but your right it left with no real focal point. Thus my reasoning
for trying to add a little interest so it wasn't so boring.

I like the second one... it added something to focus on, but was very quiet, while doing so.

That's a trade secret,..., I could tell you but then I would have
to kill you! Jus' kiddn':D

1 open image and make a duplicate layer
2 ctrl+l(levels) and put the input levels to 0 - .1 - 255
3 change blending mode to screen
4 do a radial blur amount - 100, method - zoom, quality - best (test first with draft)
5 pick your light point using blur center

The rays coming through the trees are lovely. The second one is much better. Good job.
