Hey all, I bought two Microsoft Office Pro Edition 2003 upgrades in December through my work and just realized they never got used and are collecting dust. I got them from Dell and they won't take them back over 30 days even unopened. Any thoughts on what to do with it? I think we paid something like $800CAD for both packs.

I guess I could always sell them on EBAY and keep all the money for myself! *tents fingers* Exxxxxcellent.

Kidding of course.

You're best bet, is to donate them at full face value to a non-for-profit and write it off your taxes.

Ebay, you'll get maybe a $100-$200. But if you donate them to a non-profit a) they benefit b) you can write off more.

Just my thought - but I also do not know much about Canadian tax law.

Excellent idea. Donate them to a charity.
